Simple Qt Notes: a multi-tab Markdown note editor with workspaces, continuation of SGNotes

Features

• Multi-tab editing of Markdown notes, with syntax highlighting from KTextEditor
• Workspaces to keep your notes organized, with extra search paths
• Format menu for headers, bold, italic, code, quotes, lists, links and images
• Markdown table editor (same as Phantom)
• Attach Pictures to each note (not inline)
• Full KTextEditor preferences (fonts, colors, folding, minimap…)

Build

Dependencies:

• Qt6
• KTextEditor
• KSyntaxHighlighting
• KConfig
• CMake (build only)

KF6 is required

Build instructions:

Clone the repository

git clone https://codeberg.org/ItsZariep/SQNotes
cd SQNotes

Build/Install

• Build

cmake -B build -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
cmake --build build -- -j$(nproc)

• Install

cmake --install build

Packaging

dpkg/rpm packagers can use:

cpack -G DEB --config build/CPackConfig.cmake # or -G RPM

Usage

sqnotes [workspace]

Passing a workspace name opens that workspace. If SQNotes is already running, the existing window switches to it.
